Se disponete già di un computer e di un proiettore multimediale è possibile realizzare una LIM decorosa con un paio di componenti il cui costo si aggira sui 60 euro.
Esistono un paio di progetti dedicati all'uso alternativo del wiimote (il telecomando usato dalla console Wii), sviluppati dall'ingegnoso Johnny Chung Lee, che ci permetteranno di ottenere questo risultato (oppure una "televisione 3D") a casa nostra con modica spesa.
