machine used in the test
- Intel 440 BX of 1999 (the year is not the clock frequency :-)
- Pentium II 400 Mhz 256 Mb RAM
- to 100 Mhz
- HD Quantum Fireball 15-Gb
- Nvidia 32 Mb

This is because this old machine is not set to boot from CD, so I have to work on the BIOS .

Quasi, nella installazione standard mancano alcuni componenti essenziali per le applicazioni multimediali , però ho ovviato a questo con alcune i nstallazioni aggiuntive . Inoltre alcuni software sono con l'interfaccia in inglese, ma anche in questo caso sono possibili le localizzazioni nella nostra lingua.

Ma n'do vai se una buona Java non ce l'hai?
Ho dovuto usare il terminale per questa espansione, ovvero in alto a sinistra

e digitiamo da tastiera
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk sun-java6-plugin
Comparirà una schermata su cui dovremo accettare le condizioni di licenza della SUN (licenziataria della Java ).
