winter day today: rain, mist, cold, wet ... ideal conditions for a hot chocolate and play around on the computer.
Today I share the evidence of a Linux distro not famous, but that in the discussion forum looks good.
Dreamlinux is a GNU / Linux Open Source, lawful and absolutely free, derived from Debian, Knoppix and Morphix and built in Brazil.
E 'an operating system that intrigued me. Make sure that is suitable for every user, requires no hardware driven and is also capable of older computers.
But perhaps the most exciting are the comments from users who are both very ensure oriented alle applicazioni multimediali e WEB con una interfaccia grafica che ricorda molto il mondo Apple. Come procurarsi il CD o DVD di installazione
Dal sito ufficiale

ho scaricato l'immagine ISO ed ho ricavato il CD d'installazione. Io ho scelto la versione
Desktop Edition 3.5 XFCE CD ISO
Che richiede come requisiti minimi di sistema
- Processore Pentium III
- 128 MB di RAM
- 1GB di spazio libero sull'HD (oppure su SDD o FlashDrive)
- Intel / AMD at least a 533 Mhz 256 Mb RAM
- 5 Gb HD
- Processor Intel / AMD 800 MHz or higher
- at least 512 MB RAM, preferably 1024 MB or more
- Hard Disk 10 GB
- graphics card that supports graphics accelerator (ATI or Nvidia, or Intel)
- Sound Card SoundBlaster
- network cards available
GNOME 3.5 Desktop Edition DVD ISO
refer to my previous post test Xubuntu 9.10 for any information needed for this operation.
Now start your computer with this CD, I prefer not to choose the partition of HD in multiple operating systems, instead using entirely an old Samsung HD drawer mounted on the forklift by evidence.
Necessity of partitioning the hard drive prior
Even if I choose not to have multiple operating systems on one hard drive is the need of the partition.
- Partizione /home , nella which keep the configuration files and personalization, as well as the user's own files (documents, movies, images ...)
- Swap Partition
The second type of partitioning is more complicated to make, but allows you to have a separate partition, all those things you do not want to risk losing. This does not mean of course the constant opportunity for security copies of our data.
Dreamlinux CD that we made has the tools to do this.
- GParted
- cfdisk
The second has a text interface and is an instrument suitable for experienced users.
Installing Dreamlinux Dreamlinux Always boot from CD choose the option DLI (D ream L inux I nstaller) and we will have the following form.
about the correct placement of the parameters to include reference to the following tutorial: http://dreamlinuxitalia.altervista.org/Dreamlinux-Manuale/installazione.html
After installation you will need to optimize the system. Good work!
